Thanks Everyone!! :)

To everyone on this board who give their time and advice unselfishly, I would like to say thanks for helping us (hubby and me)  to understand how to manage our credit and to obtain good results.

I would like to thank the academy (LOL)....A special thanks to Noah who first greeted my credit concerns and helped me in a big way to see almost instant results in raising my credit score and lowering my debt to ratio problems.  I am still on that fast track thanks to his expert advice....38% overall credit use and 41-50% util on each card now! Smiley Happy

Fused111, you stepped right in and did research for me on 70% to 90% util and I really learned from you that with my long history of credit, years of paying on time and low balances, maxing out wouldn't  hurt me as much if I did this occasionally.  In fact, I am up 31 points this month after recuperating from such a max LOL.  Thanks it does work.

Tuscani, thanks for taking the time to analyze and look at every angle of a problem before rendering your opinion.  It really helps when one isn't criticized for the mistakes they have made, but be given a solution to remedy their mistake(s).

All in all everyone here, ILove Pizza and Ms. Fico (can't remember the exact name but Fico is in it)  and the other ladies here thank you for relating your experiences which have been very helpful to me as well.

Hubby and I are back on the road to good scores because of all of you.

Thanks Noah! :)

Noah,

You said if I paid down my WAMU account to below 22% that Chase would no doubt send me a good offer in the mail.  Well today I received a pre-approved offer for a Chase Platinum Card with balance transfers good until March, 2009.  There is a 3% fee with a max of $99.00.  I have until August 31, 2007 to reply.  I am hesitant because I have enough inquiries on my credit reports!!  I will have an inquiry dropping on August 15th from my Experian account though.  That will make 3 inquiries and TU and Equifax already have 7 apiece.  :smileysad.  Some of those inquiries are over 12 months so perhaps it wouldn't hurt me too bad.  Thanks for directing me.

Re: Thanks Everyone!! :)

Hello,

New to board. Will be starting a new job soon and will be traveling at least 50% of the time. My current car is reliable for inner-city driving, but not too sure how long it will hold up with the additional travel.

My dilema is this, my fico is 611. I don't have any late pays just pretty close to the max on CC's (total $8800) I can paid down 4,000 over the next 2-3 months, but don't think it'll raise my score by much so soon.

So should I take the 9% rate thru eloan and run? I know paying down the debt will elp, but time is usually what makes the difference and I don't have 12-24 months like the stimulator suggested.

Thanks,
