So in Nov 2014 I started on my credit repair journey.
I had no FICO score, no positive tradelines, 5 collections.
I read these forums nearly everyday learning all that I could. I got secured credit cards, worked on the collections, and since then I watched my first TU FICO 08 score that was reported by Discover on 4/29/15 to be at 612. OK, I thought that isn't so bad and on 10/29/15 I was at 656 and was happy to be making progress. I then applied for some new cards and closed some old ones and as of 1/29/16 my score was at 610
. During this time, however, I got all the remaining collections removed from all my reports, so that made me happy but I just figured I needed to play the waiting game to get my accounts to age, figuring that when my score updates it should be a little higher. Well my Discover updated and as of 2/27/16 my score went up 129 points to 739!!!![]()

.I almost had a heart attack!
I just needed to thank everyone that helped out, and to provide a little inspirational story to show that the advice here does work.
