Think I split my file????

So last week I was trying to update my Equifax CR and I get an Error Screen saying that the system is temporarily not responding. Log in and try again later... I do and get the same Error Message. So I call in to see if the problem can be resolved. The CSR takes a minute or two then says to me that I will not be able to update my CR until some of the soft inquiries fall off. I asked why, and she replied that there are to many soft inquiries and this is all she can tell me. So I press on to ask why it was never mentioned that I could possibly update to many times and be barred from further requests. She just continued to say that there are to many soft inquiries, and there's nothibg she can do... So I canceled my SW and 3 in1 Gold monitoring services. And I have no problems with the TC updates so I continue to update from there every day as well.
 
UNTIL TODAY! I get up this morning have my coffee and sit down with my Laptop, exceited to see another change to my CRs... I have 3 PFDs that should be updating any minute. And what happens? I get an Error message that says I need to contact Customer Service for assistance. I did and the CSR could not figure out what the problem is. And she had to refer the Error to IT and I should try to update on Monday or Tuesday.
 
Does it sound like I may have split my files? I have been updating daily from TC and EQ since the middle of Feb. But I have heard of others updating for over a year. ???!!!
 
 
Anyone ever had the same issue?

Doesn't sound like a split file as you would still be able to pull you reports. Plus, four months of daily pulls is no were near anough time to split a file.. I have been pulling daily for years and I have dozens of TLs. Something else is up. Perhaps the CSR blamed soft Inqs because he or she could find no other reason for your issues. CSRs will tell you anything to get you off of the phone.

My apologies for being so dense, but Tuscani can you please explain two things?  How do daily updates with TC work?  I do not understand when posters state that they are updating their CRs daily.  The second question is what defines a split file?  And related to this post, does checking one's own CR generate a soft inquiry?  I always thought that there was no impact when you checked your own.

I had the exact same problem and i was told that i had a split file. Therefore i had cancelled my subscription with TC and Credit Expert. I was told that i had to wait until the soft inq to drop off before i could obtain a updated report. I was so angry because no everybody had a different story. And i was completely locked out from both monitoring service for about 1 month. I had been getting my reports for about a year before this happen. I thought this was something that i had only experienced. So i hope things work out for you..

I called Conumer affairs at EQ and after they told me that it could happen again if I wasn't careful, they deleted ALL of the TRUELINK AND EQ consumer generated inquiries... Now I'm back!

There was no mention of a split file. But I suspect it was approaching the EQ limit.
 
The guy in Consumer Affairs was very polite, and even called me this moring to let me know my TC subscription should not be a problem any more. He also said that he personally had ALL of the TRUELINK softs removed.
 
I'm not going to pull every day anymore... 3 times a week seems like a good number.

I don't get it. I think something else was up.. Like I said, I have been pulling daily for years without issue.. of course my file resides at CSC. Maybe that makes a difference.
