Time is on your side!

Does anyone know how long it takes to show improvement for payment history.  I have managed to get my util. to 7% (great on FICO), length of credit history (Great), new accounts (great), payment history (not good).  Scores have been increasing but now seem to be stuck at 680(TU) , 642(EQ), & 645(EX).  I have made on time payments for the past 10 months.  Will my score see a jump when the 12 month mark is past or will I need to wait 18-24 to see any more movement?

Re: Time is on your side!

I saw a bump at 12 months- this is VERY true for 30 day lates

IMHO- 60 and 90's START softening at 12 months.

Re: Time is on your side!

I have 2 30 day lates that were 24 months old removed from TU and EX, TU score stayed the same and EX jumped 2 points. I also have a 60 day late that was removed from EX and TU that was about 23 months old and it jumped each score 16 and 17 points respectively. EQ has been really stubborn and hasn't removed the lates, I believe here in Texas it is CSC that handles the accounts, don't know if that has anything to do with it. So to answer your question. . .You will more than likely see a good jump after the 12 months mark, and the 30 day lates have minimal influence at 2 year mark. While 60+ do quite a bit more damage at the 24 month mark.
