Personally, I would leave it be.
The purging of history of any prior inquiries at two years is purely an admin decision by the CRAs. It is not required under the FCRA.
Soft pulls are, by definition, not seen by others when obtaining your CR, so have significance only to you.
Inquiries take up tons of data space, and their deletion is done by software at the CRAs. I doubt they are going to do a manual review of individual consumer files upon request.
It thought that it purged every month though and the inq limit is higher than a single daily puller can reach in 1 month, so unless a person is specifically attempting to bump off inqs, it should be unlikely to happen unintentionally.
RobertEG, I've read the horror stories of old items resurfacing. That's one reason I've let it ride out this long. FYI, I'm showing SPs well beyond the two year limitation. Edit: my amex CS finally failed with Equifax last night. The daily pulls are due to my prior experiences being an id theft victim.
Dug out the calculator....
335 SP's on file from last full CR recieved, so it's actually more than that by now. Oldest is 3/2010.
To all my higher ranking ficoers...
Well, what do you guys think? Call, or ride it out like RobertEG suggested.
That's a hell of a lot of softs, and they've been around a while.
Guess running two CMS products kinda bit me in the butt, huh?
Doing the research, I"m definitely locked out of my EQ file, and AmxCS is showing repetitive failures/Eq non return email.
Edit: I'm getting blocked, ticketed for service, and the chopping will commence....God help me now....
So what's the moral of this story......should we or should we not pull our reports daily to check on it? Do all these SP's cause data problems? Are all of our installments and revolver accounts reporting at risk?

DaveSignal is right about the cra's doing housekeeping from the cms pullers, but for some reason my file hasn't been cleaned since March '10. Watch your sp counts, when you do your annual full freebies.
My report showed hundreds of SPs... so I dont think there is a limit as you stated.
I can verify that it can happen. I have been pulling daily from two sources Equifax directly and a tri=merge along with MyFico once a week. All of a suddent, inquiries and tradelines started to disappear. I called Equifax last week about the 4 missing tradelines and asked for Executive Service. the nice lady said that I pulled my reports too often and that it can cause a split of my file. The missing things are in another file of mine. When someone requests my report they can get either file, but not both. She was going to have someone in support remerge my files and drop soft pulls. it will take about a week.
She recomended that i drop the Equifax service or it would happen again. There is a limit to the size of your file and Soft Pulls eat it up.
