Is there a timeframe for disputing credit inquiries on your credit report, in the 2 years that it stays there?

Since the impact of an inquiry lessens by 6 mos and is no longer counted against your FICO score at 1 year, I would say less than a year. What is the nature of your dispute?
Hi 09Lexie,
I had applied for a secured credit card with 53rd bank. And they denied the card just because I am not a US citizen which they never confirmed with me prior to the application, (what a lame reason). I had also clarified it with their employee that this application will not increase a hard pull in my report, which she had confirmed. When I asked about what they can do for the additional unnecessary inquiry, the branch told me that they will look into removing the inquiry. This happened in the middle of May, so I am just wondering if there is a timeframe for me to dispute that inquiry like 60 days or so.
