Timeline: CC reporting updates and it reflecting on credit report?

What's the average time it takes from a CC to report monthly account updates to the credit bureau and the time it takes for it to reflect on your credit report? If my CC is suppose to report monthly and it skips a month, do I have a right to ask them to update it ASAP?

EDIT: Nonsensical part of reply removed after adding sufficient caffeine.

But absolutely yes, if a card vendor skips a month of reporting, you can ask them to do a report.

If I'm understanding correctly, the OP is asking about existing accounts updating their new statement balances and/or CLI.

I'm sure it varies somewhat, but here are a couple of mine I've observed:

Amex Statement posted 1/9, I saw a change in my SW on 1/13

Amex Statement posted 2/6, I saw a change in my SW on 2/10

Walmart Discover Statement posted 2/2, I saw change in SW on 2/4

Walmart Discover Statement posted 12/2, I saw change in SW on 12/5

So 2 to 4 days seems common for me.

I haven't had any experience with CCC's not updating monthly.

bobebob || Nov: My FICO SW EQ(Upgraded Version) = 822 ||Sept: Walmart TU Fico=838Goal = FICO's>800 || In my wallet: CostcoAmEx(20k), DCU Visa Platinum (10k), BoA Visa Signature (17.1k), Walmart Discover (7.5k), AmEx Corporate (5k). All PIF every month.

Thank you very much! (And caffeine sounds like a VERY good idea for me this morning as well!)

That's about what I thought the timeline was. I've paid down my UT from 75% to 30% and have yet to see it reflected on my credit score. It's only been a couple days since my account update should have been reported for one CC but it's been almost a month for the other. I'm wanting to purchase a new car within the next couple weeks and really wanted to bump my credit score up (it's at 702 at the moment). Maybe I'm expecting too much??

CCs typically report once per month and they'll the balance you had on the statement date (vs. the day you paid it). They report to all 3 about the same time, but the 3 CRAs don't necessarily update at the same time. YMMV on the CC, but most of the time EX updates first, followed by EQ then TU. I'll usually start seeing updates within a couple of days of the statement date, sometimes up to several days later.
