I had a very succesful app spree in the beginning of February, but now I'm starting to get nervous about how my lenders will view this spree. My plan was to close out some of the cards I didn't use anymore and replace them with cards with better limits and APR's. I closed 3 accounts and have a total of 6 new accounts. I guess it's really only 4 since the two will backdate to '99. I really don't want to be in a position where Barclays or Chase will freak out over the new accounts and then close their accounts with me. I know this doesn't happen often, but I just got back in the door with Chase, so I'm a littler nervous.

What has changed for this sudden cause of alarm regarding the cards you got?

I think I've spent too much time reading too many old threads. Now I think something will happen once all of these new accounts post.
You have great scores and great cards. Nothing to see here. Move along please. lol
Just don't let balances report for 3 months in a row when you previously always PIF'd....you'll get hit with $32k worth of CLD's.

@cc2115,
Don't jump to conclusions... As long as you maintain a strong profile with nothing like increasing balances etc.. does not spook them, you should be fine.

As others have indicated, probably not an issue but at this point it's too late to worry anyway. Responsibly manage your accounts.

LOL. I am in the same nervous boat as you. I have 5 new CCs opened in the last two months. With those, I just about doubled my overall CLs. But I only carry a balance on my Chase Slate (under $2000 now), so I'm not too worried. As takeshi74 says, "it's too late to worry anyway."
