Mr. Wolf:
I am attaching a copy of a letter from Advanced Collection Services regarding a collection account #************* on my credit report.
The letter references that my account has been satisfied and paid in full and should be deleted from my credit report.
I have spoken with customer service representatives that only read a script and say there is nothing they can do. Every time I get put on hold, I am disconnected. The small amount ($25) was simply an oversight where I had changed doctors with my HMO and hadn’t paid a co-payment. Upon discovering this when trying to refinance my home, I immediately paid it. This collection is haunting me financially.
In addition to this, account # ******* with J.L. Walston & Associates was recently disputed on my TU report. I called the company personally and they told me they didn’t even have a record of my account with them from a power bill several years ago. They no longer service it at all. The dispute came back as verified. I am humbly asking that TU deletes this from my report. The amount of the collection was trivial to say the least and being young and foolish, didn’t realize the impact it would have on me over 6 years later.
Please remove the collection account from my credit report as soon as possible. I also humbly ask that you remove the collection account from J.L. Walston & Associates that has haunted me financially for years.
Sincerely and thanks for your help and consideration,
