so I'm trying to figure out what to do. I see the numbers on my old EQ report but that leaves off the last 4 digits, how am I supposed to find the full 16 digits from an old credit card?
I wonder if entering 12 out of 16 digits would work. Would you get locked out of the account for 1 wrong answer?

You must have a freeze on your credit reports

You don't have an old TU report? Sounds like you will have to call if you can't find the info.Experian wouldn't allow a person 90 days to access their reports if they had a problem with the frequency.

Sometimes you fall through the cracks. You do realize that EQ EX and TU sell their reports dont you? I am the last person to tell someone not to backdoor their reports on ocassion but I would advise newcomers to credit message boards that pulling your reports repeatedly for free is an outright abuse of the system.I speed and run stop signs all the time. It ain't legal though.

unfortunately I don't. I wish they asked a mix of questions instead of asking me about very old revolving accounts.
Has anyone called and had them be willing to ask different authentication questions?

You must own stock with the big 3 CRA's? A free report isn't going to reduce the value of the CRA's stocks. They make more than enough money selling FAKO's to the people who are less informed.
I will continue to check my report as often as necessary without paying. I encourage others to do the same. There's no law prohibiting consumers from accessing free reports. The CRA's are very capable of not allowing one to access its reports free of charge if they choose.
