Transunion Dispute Help

Hey all!

I've got a lingering collection from Diversified Consultants in 2018 that was paid but still on my TU report. It's seriously dragging my score down. FICOs are 759 on EX, 731 on EQ, and 664 on TU. There's one other negative on TU, but it's scheduled to fall off in April.

I disputed the information back in 2019 for incorrect info with the hopes of them removing it altogether, but that wasn't successful.

I just saw on another thread here that Diversified Consultants dissolved back in 2020 and since then, people were finding great success with getting them removed from their reports. My question is, if I dispute again, what should I put as the reason? On the listing in my report, it just says "Account information disputed by consumer (FCRA)" reflecting my previously submitted dispute.

Thanks for any advice you can give!

Since you already have a failed dispute on this account you might run into issues re-disputing it as the CRAs are free to dismiss "frivolous" disputes without an investigation. In order to avoid this your dispute must be substantially different than the failed dispute.

I can offer no advice on what reasons to put on a dispute that is not a valid dispute.

Re: Transunion Dispute Help

Why not try the same dispute? Especially if the company dissolved.

Its only 2 months away. No more disputes. Let it die off.
