Transunion dispute ? Said item removed...but

I disputed a few things on my CR. I called for status today and was told 2 items were deleted, and one still being investigated. So I ran my credit report/score...score jumped 21 points, but only 1 of the two items show as being deleted. And ofcourse the one still showing is a horrendous late pay charge off on a card I was only an auth user on AND was included in bk years ago.

Do I need to be patient for the account to dissappear, or should I put in another call to TU?

Yea TU is the slowest of the credit bureaus to remove items so they will say it is deleted yet it will take up to 7 business days i know from experience and my identity being stolen and having stuff removed.

The FCRA does place requirements on both creditors and CRAs to "timely" report and delete information, but does not place specific dates on what is considered "timely."

YOu can always contact a CRA and assert they have not met their timeliness standard, but it is a subjective standard.

Re: Transunion dispute ? Said item removed...but

A dispute can take up to 45 days, to verify whether the information they reported is correct or not.

If the dispute was initiated online, you will be notified by e-mail,so you can view the results immediately.

If the dispute was by mail, then TU will send the results by mail.

If you login to check your dispute status during the process, you will see the original, uncorrected version of your CR - the version that was generated when you filed the dispute.  If TU updates the information, you will see a corrected copy at the conclusion of the dispute process.

Try not to worry, until TU notifies you that they are done with the dispute process.Smiley Wink

No, I don't think TU sends a hard copy of an undate CR by  mail, if the dispute was started online.

Is this still the case?  It was always like that in the past for me, but I submitted a dispute 2 weeks ago and things seem to have changed.  The log-in page is different than it used to be, and when I log in it takes me directly to the 'dispute status' page with 0/1 items completed.  There's no longer a link to view my credit report.

Yes...and when you go to view the disputes " Status" page where it says 2/5 completed there's no way

to review the ones that were completed.

On top left is shows "Open" but 2/5 are shown completed. How am I supposed to

know which ones were completed and what the results were ?

Not only that..I paid for a one time view to see my report last week and now I'm

not able to view it anymore..the time frame isn't up either. I don't really care because

it's not an updated TU file anyway...but still.

I've not disputed online with TU in a long time. So maybe other that have will chime in.

But my understand from reading TU web site is..............when TU is done with the investigation, they will notify you by e-mail.Then you will be able, to view the results of the investigation.

Yeah that's all fine and dandy but there's no link anymore to view my

TU CR That I paid for..time limit to view hasn't expired.

Not only that..they won't let EQ or EX pull my report so I had to cancel the 3 report option.

Now I signed up for another service for daily pulls on all 3 reports and I hope they don't

deny them access to my reports that I already paid for.

I have to call them tomorrow to find out why they created this mess.

There's no rule you can't view your report while disputing stuff.
