TrueCredit.com Disputes?

How do you file a dispute? I login to TrueCredit.com, click to view my report then click the "Dispute" link on the trade and another login prompt. I click Submit Dispute button and it just opens up the results of my completed dispute. I can't file a new dispute on anything. How do you get to the dispute option for TransUnion? Thanks.

Re: TrueCredit.com Disputes?

I have never used an online dispute, and never will.

When you dispute the accuracy of information in your CR, the basis for your dispute is the supporting information you provide.  Online disputes dont permit you to include all of your supporting documentation, and just feed into the hands of an already faulty automated dispute process, called e-OSCAR, that is used by the CRAs to sanitize consumer disputes by excluding the forwarding of ALL information to the party who reported the disputed information.

I would recommend filing your dispute in writing.  Better yet, dont even dispute through a CRA.  As of 7/1/2010, you have the option of disputing directly with the party who reported the information to your CR, and bypassing the CRA.  The direct dispute process is set forth in FCRA 623(a)(8).  By using the direct dispute process, you are ensured that all information pertaining to your dispute is provided to the furnisher of the disputed information for consideration in their investigation of your dispute.

I just made a dispute using true credit and I wasn't able to directly dispute with them.  Once I clicked on the link to dispute, they asked me which CRA I was disputing with and I choose one and was sent directly to their website to dispute.  The only negative thing in my opinion about using this system is that they don't necessarily respond to you and the information sent, if any, is onilne.  I have a dispute now with experian and instead of them updating my report and sending me a copy, I get an email from the creditor.  Well that's fine but I need an  updated report from experian showing whether or not the account was removed.  Now I have to call them and request an updated report because I still need to see where they investigated the account.
