TrueCredit users ...

... when TC says they allow you to "pull all 3 reports" every 24 hours, do they mean REALLY pull them, or that they allow you to check to see if anything's changed every 24 hours?

When we first log in, a little java applet box in the top/mid left-hand corner says "Checking" for things like new accounts, new delinquencies, etc. For one thing, it doesn't mention anything about new payments posting or balances DEcreasing. And the CRs that we're seeing say they're from July 1.

So I guess my questions are: does it actually update when a payment is posted? Does it only update when a baddie whacks us? And does it REALLY allow us to "pull" our reports?

Or am I insane, stupid or both???

TIA!!

true credit will let you know if an inquiry has been made on your account or an account has "changed" either delinquent payment or change of status from good to bad or bad to good.  It doesn't let you know when accounts are deleted or when your balances change.  I pull every 24 hours and get a fresh report.  The balances all update on the new reports I pull but it isn't an "alert" on the member login page.

Re: TrueCredit users ...

Yes, you can REALLY pull new reports every 24 hours, however... I would try to restrain yourself from doing that too often. I hear some users get their accounts canceled for 'overuse' of that feature.

The little java thing you are talking about when you log in is not the same thing. You need to look on the right hand side for a link that says, 'update report' or 'update score' (if you are on the scores page.) Then it will ask you if you REALLY want to pull a new report, since you just pulled on on xx/xx/xxxx date. you say, yes I do, and enter a confirmation #... and it will pull your newest report. That's the report you will always see in the future... until you pull another new one.

If you try to pull more than one report within a 24 hour period, it will give you an error message.

So how do you pull a new one? The only one I can see is the one I originally pulled on July 1 (it states July 1 on the page)??

Am I really this dumb?? Sure feeling like it!! Smiley Sad

Re: TrueCredit users ...

When you're looking at your report or scores........to the right there is a grey box that has different options in it all the way down the right side(maybe not all the way down, but it is tall and skinny)..look for "update report" or "update scores" click that.

Re: TrueCredit users ...

No... you are not really dumb. I couldn't figure it out either at first.

When you are looking at your report... look WAY to the RIGHT (sorry)... underneath the "offers for you" junk... there is a link that just says "update report." Under the heading "related items."

I think they make it difficult to find it on purpose or something... but it's there.

I've been updating every day for the last 6 months with no problem.  I don't think they can cancel your account for using a feature you pay for every month.  This is exactly why we're paying--to be able to update every 24 hours if we want.  At least that's why I'm paying the monthly membership fee...

Has happened to more than one person, and I know of at least one person who sued.

That's crazy.  I would sue too, though I hope it doesn't happen to me.  I guess I could cut down my obsessive checking to three times a week?  Smiley Happy
