Would a GW letter work even if it has already been paid off and I no longer use GA Pwr?

Date opened was 06/98

Date of last payment was 03/2005

Date of last activity was 07/2002

I would disput this first....they might have dumped your info.  Its a chance but it could delete

I sent a GW to Nicor in IL they never responded.  Got a letter from them in the mail today thinking it was their response, found out that they had been billing me for almost 2 years on the wrong meter number.  They owed me $318.00.  I should call and demand that they delete those lates because they were charging me exhorbitant fees, like $552 for 18 days of service, when the bill should have been less and those charges were not correct. 

Think that might work?  I couldn't afford the payments and it was their fault.

I did it by just asking.It was not a big deal.You may,as previous poster said just dispute it and get it done.
