Two Collection accounts in dispute, now what?

I have two collections accounts in dispute. One has a status of resolved but with the me disagreeing. I sent PFD letters back in January and both of these accounts were reported as disputed as a result. It has been more than 30 days since the CA's recieved my letters. Question is what do I do now?

Did you dispute them with the CRAs? Did you send DV before PFD?

CA's don't have to respond to PFDs.

IMO  a DV should always be sent before even thinking of a PFD.........No one has to answer a PFD!!!!

You should always know what your SOL is before starting anything to do with your CR!

If the OC is still reporting what is the DOFD  DOLA and what is your SOL?

If just CAs are reporting   what are they reporting?   Dates are important!

Thing is they took it upon themselves to report to CRA's that I was disputing when all I wanted to do was a PFD. On one account the DOFD is 1/2007 and on the other the DOFD is 10/2004. The DOLA is last month for both accounts.

Well, the first line in the PFD example letter is " This letter is to inform you that the validity of this debt is disputed"

So, up until last month you were making some sort of payments?

Try sending another PFD, is only thing I can suggest, as you are out of your 30 day DV window. Unless you are in Texas, which allows DV at anytime.

Might find a vp or president to address the PFD to.
