Two different Experian scores

At freecreditreport.com, it shows my Experian credit score at 692.... but then at Sesame, it shows my Experian score is 712.......

Anybody know why that is possible ?   Is there a difference between the two ?  Which one is more accurate ?

Thank you

Re: Two different Experian scores

They are both completely useless and not used by any lender.

The type of credit score that you want will vary depending on the type of loan and lender.

Are you looking for a mortgage? Then pull your EQ FICO here.

Experian makes it VERY hard to get a score that is actually useful. They would rather sell FAKO scores since they make more money that way.

I agree with Greg. Ignore both these scores. No one has been able to buy their own Experian FICO score since February of 2009. Creditors can pull Experian and also there is a CU (PSECU) in Pennsylvania that supplies that information to it's members only.

Re: Two different Experian scores

I do not understand.... they sound useless, hence, then this has to be fraudelant.   Selling me something, that has no value.

Is that even legal ?

I agree. But in the fine print on the EX website you'll find this: Calculated on the PLUS Score model, your Experian Credit Score indicates your relative credit risk level for educational purposes and is not the score used by lenders.
