I called this AM to find out when my skymiles will be posted. Turns out that they will post in 6-12 weeks. I should get 17,500 for applying for the card and an addtional 10,000 after first purchase. But the clock won't start ticking on the 10,000 till I make a purchase.
Hey...I didn't either. But thats what the gal at AMEX told me. I will be happy if they give them to me.

That's kinda strange....I just read how the skymiles add up on the Amex website....it says you get UP TO 17,500 miles and the way to do that is you'll get 15,000 miles after your first purchase and then 2,500 miles if you add an additional cardmember. That being said, I called Amex, and the lady I spoke with confirmed all this info IS correct. Seems like the folks at Amex are not on the same page.
