USAA is weird

Setup a checking account yesterday with an opening deposit from one of my accounts at another bank. The deposit is on hold. My plan is to add a little money each Friday, so I made another deposit today from the same bank account. Yesterday's deposit is still on hold, but today's is available. Huh?

maybe they just hold the initial deposit. did you do it on the phone or in person?

after 30 days you will get all your privs (mobil deposit, instant funds, etc.)

i found that out before i funded so, when i opened my checking account with them i let $25 sit for a month and then transferred 1k after that.

now i can move funds instantly between my 3 other banks/CU's and USAA or deposit any check into my checking or savings account and it is available NOW.

pretty good setup they have there.   you will be happy with them.

congrats Cap   :]    i am doing the same and using USAA as a stash account (CC's and Car Loan also).  I'm poor so i'm only up to $1300.00 lol

oh yeah, if you have a CC with them they will Chip and Pin it on request.  I'm using mine in Irelend in 20 days (and counting).
