Okay, I know there's like 2 million threads on the best monitoring service but I've been looking at them for hours and am so overwhelmed. I am rebuilding credit (as of monday) and want to get a service(s) to monitor reports from all 3 bureaus. I now understand somewhere like ck shows only fako scores but their tu and eq reports are good. From what I read, only this site offers fico scores for all 3 bureaus. I dont see a problem with a free site to check out tu and eq reports (like ck, just ignore scores), then I just need a place for ex reports and of course the 3 fico scores.
USAA appears to be transitioning to a new system for monitoring if you look on their site. This sites best product has all 3 fico scores but only once a year reports right? I would like at least monthly pulls for reports (ex mainly as i said).
So, while my credit sucks shouldn't I watch closely, plus I'll be paying things off and getting cards and loans next month. Suggest the best places for me to use as monitors please wise spenders!
Edit: Just got the $1 trial at credit check total, didn't see that thread at first, sorry. You can delete this and I'll post there if you want, mods.
The best thing I ever did was sign up for myfico for my 3 reports and the monthly monitoring service. And this community board has been instrumental in helping me clear my credit report up. I've found an answere to every question I ever had and the alerts are great. I also use creditkarma too, more for the credit report updates then their scores.

IIRC CreditCheck Total does as well which is part of the reason why it has been a popular recent topic. Keep in mind the specific FICO models provided by each service as there are a number of different FICO models used by creditors and not just one FICO model.

I find it helps to use a site restricted Google search. You can then filter by dates versus looking at every thread since the inception of the site. To search this site just add site:ficoforums.myfico.com to your keywords. Example:
It also helps to search for what you're specifically looking for. In this case, if you want a service that offers FICO's for all 3 then that really narrows down the options very quickly. Even without date filtering on results the CreditCheck Total thread tends to be active and on the first page of threads in this subforum.

It's really your call to make how often you want to pull reports and scores. I don't really worry much about scores and focus on my reports though I do get a TU FICO 8 from Discover, the FICO 8 Bankcard from FNBO and the FICO Nextgen from PenFed. I use the Annual Credit Report site. I also use CK to monitor my TU and EQ reports since it updates weekly. I haven't worried too much about my EX report. I'll pull any or all of the 3 as desired.
If you're looking at getting loans next month then you probably will want more frequent pulls on your reports. However, if it's currently in poor shape there probably isn't much you can do in just a month. Have you carefully researched in the Rebuilding subforum to see what you can do about addressing any derogs that you might have?

Make sure you understand the triggers for alerts and updates if you're considering myFICO.
The compare page has info on the different options and actually looks a bit different from what I recall:

I did start the cct trial because I read its the same as the myfico 3b but a bit cheaper/quicker to report. I also read usaa wont have fico scores when the change happens which is unfortunate.
Thanks for the search info.
The rebuilding forum has been quite helpful to me. I've read A LOT there.
I read what triggers alerts on the myfico 3b and it seems pretty close to cct. Bottom line is, for a good price, cct seems to do everything I would need for cheapest over myfico/usaa. I hope to get my own living place soon and a car so monitoring my scores will help.
Thanks all.
I'd suggest MyFico or CreditCheckTotal for monitoring. If you are rebuilding I'd suggest Credit Check Total. You can get your experian report and score daily and all three reports and scores 3 times per month. The cost is $29/mo. They are running a special though. Get the trial. Then try to cancel it and say it's too high. They will offer you $14.97/mo for a year.
Oh and they give Fico 8 scores. Those scores match what MyFico showed as their Fico 8 score. I just cancelled my USAA monitoring. They don't give Fico scores.
