Hello,
As of the last roughly ~2 months I've been having an issue where on Equifax and Experian any attempts to soft pull are met with various versions of "Unable to obtain score." In some instances, it states a score can't be calculated due to lack of recent activity, in others nothing at all. I can pull both reports just fine via their respective websites, but no service I try to use to do a soft check for approval has been able to pull anything. In the calculated score space all they show is "N/A."
I have tried to reach out to both companies via email, but one went completely silent and the other had no idea what I needed help with. First they thought it was a business credit inquiry, then once I clarified, they went down a rabbit hole that had nothing to do with my request. I've also tried to call, but Experian just sends me down an infinite loop where I never come across a human and Equifax does similarly.
I tried waiting, but a couple of months in and no dice. Anyone ever experienced this and know how I can rectify it? Yes, my credit profile is active and it sees constant updates.
Try filing a CFPB complaint?
How many months of recent credit history do you have? If it's less than six, you wouldn't have any FICO scores yet.
You can have 20 years of credit history with no score; if you have no account activity reported in the last 6 months. Accounts can be classified as dormant if not used. Closed accounts are not considered active although they impact credit score in age related and credit mix scoring metrics. (Also, if the closed account has a balance, it can impact aggregate utilization).
If your accounts have been dormant and a new account is activated, or a dormant account re-activated, it might take 6 months to build activity history and for Fico to re-generate a score.
I've had a credit score since around 2006. So age/timing shouldn't be an issue here.
I just opened a United Quest card in October, have a car note, a few loans, bunch of credit cards I use and pay monthly. I have scores, but for some reason when a pull is done, at least a soft one, it shows as N/A.
Do your CS appear on anywhere? i.e. MyFICO for Equifax?

Can a credit report or reports be frozen selectively to require access thru HPs only? Could there be a split file under your name? A Credit Bureau CSR might be able to help.
