Last night I tried to pull my reports and scores from this website and after going through all of the process I got a page that said they couldn't verify my identity and to call a 1-800 number. So I called the number, explained the situation and was put on hold. When the CSR came back on she said the reason that they couldn't pull a report was because there was a block on my EQ report and when I asked why I was told it's possible I have no credit history (or something similar to that).
I find this really odd as I do have some credit history but the only reports I've been able to pull was my Transunion (through the annual credit report website) and Experian (through their website) but not EQ. I was told to contact the CRA and I tried that today but there seems to be a lot of leaps and hoops to go through before I can speak to a CSR. After getting nowhere with their automated system (and not even being able to speak to CSR) I find myself clueless as to what do.
The only way I've been able to get my scores is by having them sent to me when I've applied for credit.
So what do guys think is causing this "block?" What do you recommend I do? Should I just wait until next year once my cards will have had 6+ months of history (even though one of mine already does)?
There are specific requirements before a FICO report:
· At least one account that has been open for six months or more
· At least one undisputed account that has been reported to the credit bureau with in the past six months
· No indication of deceased on the credit report (Please note: if you share an account with another person this may affect you if the other account holder is reported deceased).
Aside from the above, if you cannot pull from EQ directly either via Equifax.com or annualcreditreport.com, then it means that there's an ID issue preventing the release of your report or there's a fraud alert on your EQ report. Definitely keep trying to call EQ.
If you are trying to call EQ on the weekend or after business hours, you will get the automated system. If you have a FA, you should still be able to pull your own cr unless there is a mismatch in identity.
