Unable To Retrieve My Equifax Report For Over 30 Days

Since April 13th, I have been unable to pull an Equifax report through Equifax.com or MyFico.com. I've spent literally 5 hours over the past 3 weeks with the Equifax Customer Service team. Each time I call I am being told that my issue will be escalated but even their "technical team" has been unable to generate a report for me. The MyFico team confirmed that the issue needs to be fixed on the Equifax side. The problem started last month when I upgraded to Equifax's Premier Plan due to receiving an offer for a 50% discount for 12 months. As soon as I upgraded, their system seemed to have hit a glitch and every time I request a report, I receive an error message directing me to call Customer Service. I am becoming more and more concerned about my credit file security and I am extremely frustrated. Can anyone point me to where I should go next for assistance? Is there a Federal Agency I can report this issue to? Thanks in advance for any guidance..

I would guess filing a complaint with The CFPB might be a step. Others who have been through this may have more insight. Google CFPB maybe a start!

OMG, the EXACT same has happened to me but I’ve been unable to access for about 60days. I’ve called customer service and they have escalated to ‘tech support’ with a promised 2 week turnaround time and have 10 escalations no one has called me back. I’ve reaches out to them via Twitter, once again a lot of promises but no follow through. I’ve told them it all happened when I upgraded products and it was working fine for the previous 7 years I’ve had monitoring. I’ve spent about 15 hours w/ them that i will

This sounds like something that happed to me. My file was split because it got too large from soft inquires. I too spent hours and hours and hours on the phone with EQ and you’re correct because I still haven’t gotten that time back!!! It was a nightmare. EQ wasn’t able to figure out what the problem was but I figured it out on this forum. Do you use a lot of credit monitoring services and check your reports very often? If so you might have the same issue I had and you will need to get EQ to have someone manually go into your file and delete the extra soft pulls that resulted when you checked your own scores. My EQ file was inaccessible for about two months when this happened to me. I finally had to file a complaint with the CFPB to get them to fix it. I hope this helps. I feel for you. Good luck. I think you may be on to the problem. The error code I keep getting is TF..... which according to them means ThickFile which is usually defined by 50 accounts or more which is no where near what my file looks like. Yes I have multiple monitoring and check many times a week so perhaps the thick file is from inquiries. I will contact them first thing tomorrow.
