Re: Unauthorized - authorized user?

Don’t look at the details look at the credit report and rather than calling TU go through their online dispute.

The fact you suggested the CL’s aren’t correct means they almost assuredly aren’t your tradelines, but rather than rely on alerts (which honestly sometimes get busted) look at the report directly.

Chase is the lender of record and if they say you don’t have any AU’s then frankly there isn’t really anything to worry about but it’s still worth looking at the report.

I got an alert on my TransUnion that I have 2 authorized users added to my Chase cards. I don't have any authorized users so I'm claiming this to be fraud. Chase says I have no authorized user accounts but when I spoke to TransUnion they say I do. TU says they are doing a 30 day investigation about it but that doesn't solve the issue that someone opened authorized user cards at Chase.

Is this something I have to go after Chase about because if Chase reports this to TU then it must be someone there has access to this information? My 3 credit files are frozen but I had a temporary thaw to apply for another card.

It's a glitch that has occurred because the card issuer was renamed from Chase Card Services to JPMCB - CARD SERVICE (which is still Chase). Nothing to worry about.  As far as I'm aware, these erroneous alerts are confined to just Credit Karma and Credit Sesame.  See this thread for additional instances where this happened:  Did anyone get alert Chase card changed

I've seen the JPMCB update across all reports at this point.  It's not confined to CK or any othe rmontioring service.  There was a backend update to make things uniform across all accounts past/present.

However if you spot an actual new account on a full report then you should notify someone but, otherwise it's just the name of the creditor updating how they show up on the report.

Neither of my paid credit monitoring services - MyFICO and Experian CreditWatch Premium - have any such changes as of today; and I trust them to get it right.  Someone has speculated that monitoring services that use VantageScore v3 are showing the change but as far as I can tell from scouring the 'Net the reporting change has only occurred on CK and CS while its possible that other VS v3 sites also have it.

Re: Unauthorized - authorized user?

TU matches CK for me, I haven’t looked at EQ but I suspect MF won’t update till a new report is pulled potentially depending on bureau: 3B monitoring is actually 3 different products 1 per each bureau basically rolled into one CMS.

EX does not have the change for me as of today at least.

Though, I would suggest if this was glitchy as a result of the name change the CL’s would match.

Re: Unauthorized - authorized user?

The main thing is the # of accounts matches and it's only cosmetic.

Re: Unauthorized - authorized user?

It's probably TU's fault. I had an acct report as closed a couple months after opening, by EX. Called the creditor(Discover) -no issues with it and still open. I had to call EX and let them know the creditor in question states the acct is still open. They filed a dispute with the above mention and a couple weeks later it was resolved. Also EX was the only one reporting that.

Re: Unauthorized - authorized user?

Could be a glitch from the sudden name change like mentioned before..

Also like to mention I'm pretty sure it wasn't me added to your report 😉
