Im not happy. First, I got a call from my HR at work, like many others did at my place of employment , stating that someone tried to file unemployement benefits under my name. I hit the roof! Lucklily, I already had freezes on everything anyways, so I went ahead and added a fraud alert to all 3 CRA as well, and tweaked security measures on everything else.
In the process of putting the fraud alerts on the CRA, I was able to get free reports because of the circumstances. As I was combing thru EXP, I came across something I didnt recognize, and realized shortly afterwards it my rent!!! I really hit the roof then.
#1...I didnt authorize nor did I sign anything with my Apartments to do that, and its NOT anywhere in my lease agreement that it states they will do that.
#2...I didnt authorize EXP to collect and report this data, and I did NOT sign up for EXP Boost, because I dont need the boost. I have 118 POSITIVE accounts reporting ( most are closed, lol). I dont need the help with credit, I have several open loans and CC's.
So, I immediately disputed with EXP, and then contacted the office manager who was clueless, and he contacted his manager, who contacted his manager, and it went up the chain to the company who ownes my apartment complex. I sent them a screenshot of it, and told them I dont authorize this, and never did nor did I sign anything with anyone etc... I dont want this on here, period.
I had just pulled all my reports 3 months ago from the actual CRA sites, and this wasnt on here. It says it was first report 11/2018...which is incorrect as well. It wasnt there 3 months ago on the last report pull (straight from EXP site), which is exactly where I pulled this report from too.
Ill keep you updated on what the rental company says, and what EXP says about my dispute.
Has your Landlord changed the way payments are taken/processed over the past 2 yrs. Within this timeframe? Reason I ask is because of this: https://www.experian.com/rentbureau/rental-reporting

Or stick on a repeating free trial and get 3B scores every 10 or so. But yes, a very nice service indeed.
How did your dispute turn out? And...do you think it affected your FICO 9 scores?
