Unexpected Experian pre-screen opt out?

Hello,

 I recieved a preapproved opt put notice from Exp today. However, I never erquested it. I did put a freeze on my account so that it cost me money when I get the urge to app... but I am surprised by this. Do any of you have any experience with this?

Imposing a fraud alert also imposes an automatic opt-out from pre-screening listings provided under FCRA 604(c).

Freezes are not directly provided for under the FCRA, and are subject to the procedures established by the CRAs.  That also usually includes an automatic opt-out from pre-screening listings available to creditors.

As with any opt-out, you can always send the CRA a specific notice at any time that you wish to rescind any prior opt-out.
