Untitled thread

Nobody but your shills and your PR cheerleaders here care about this FICO garbage... If there actually is anybody here that is not being paid to be here (and I doubt that!). Take some good advice. Use a local CREDIT UNION for financing. Close ALL OF THE STORE ACCOUNTS...Get a CC card from your credit union and only keep one CC. Just pay in cash 99% of the time....AND DON"T CARE ABOUT THIS NUMBER, YOU CAN"T WIN

**bleep** FICO....its just another corporatist way of justifying stealing more from the poor and middle classes. You will never get that mythical best rate, Its all PR.

The only way you will ever win the FICO game IS NOT TO PLAY.

We are in the best shape financially since the 90's. We have real spending power again! You will be amazed what you can do when you stop giving these corporate slime-bags their cut!

Take some time and read up on the REAL FICO sites.....and see how much this slimy corporation costs you, and how they rip you off. Why would you ever put your trust in a company that is as secretive as this one.

OP, I split your post to form a new one here to keep the myFICO Challenge. I had to edit the title, but changed nothing else. If you'd like to change the title, click "Options" and then "Edit Message".

Re: Untitled thread

And if you keep posting the same thing over and over, you might not be posting on myFICO that much longer. Lucky for you, this board (General Credit Topics) gets more exposure than the other thread. I'm giving you the opportunity to be heard, and to shill whatever it is you are trying to shill.

Re: Untitled thread

I am definitely not being paid to be on this board, and I agree with you to a certain extent; however, just as an FYI, if you plan on getting a really good security clearance, you really have to have some sort of credit file. You can also make money off of credit cards if you are careful, use the rewards they offer, and pay off your balances every month.  They also can add an extra layer of protection for the consumer.  I personally prefer to use cash for everything and usually do, but I have found some use in credit cards.

Re: Untitled thread

I keep 1 CC for when we travel....and If I have to buy some crappy Chinese made electronic device (seems to make the 4 or 5 times you have to return it to get one that works eaiser as I always lose the reciept).

Rewards are just a scam, like going to a Casino. You have to spend 4 times more to get a little back....Again, if you can't win...don't play.

If you are already going cash only Im sure you are seeing the light also. I never realized how much disposable income we actually have...and the big one! THE DISCOUNT YOU CAN GET FOR CASH are far better than some crappy rewards dripping with restrictions

Oh, and stick around...after awhile you will see the shills here, they are not very good at "not being shills"....but you know that corporatist mentality "we can always hire half of the poor to kill or mislead the other half"

This explains the Tea Party....

And you can throw me off anytime you like....it just helps to galvanize my point that this whole board is just a paid for infomercial.....

and remember my little song...Anything you can do I can UNDO better...

Re: Untitled thread

Well, as long as the advice is good and my scores continue to improve...I'll be here, learning what I can.  Every nuance of the formula may not be known; however, what is given is good.

My credit scores have been checked for a security clearance and the accounts analyzed.  Homeowner's and automobile insurance companies have given me good rates based on my improved credit scores, whereas when the scores were not good then my rates were not.  I find my scores are more accurate here than at least 3 other sites I have tried.  When the last one runs out I'll be back at myFICO.  I've had my scores pulled at mortgage companies for refinance and they use FICO scores.

I have only 2 credit cards left and some deferred student loans.  I use cash for 95% of my purchases and only use open lines of credit when the credit card companies threaten to close the accounts.  When they do this, I use the card and pay off the balance and put the card back in the drawer, just in case of an emergency.  I have a defense fund to help if a lean time comes of 12 months.  I pay cash. I have no car payments.  I'm being as thrifty as I can, but I do treat myself (and pay with cash) so I don't feel smothered.

I feel what you've done by your post is to try to squash the hopes of those trying to improve.  What we have is hope.  If this site and forum are only for profit, isn't that how the world operates?  If it costs for the information so I can be free, then I'll pay my share and get out if necessary!  The peace of mind is worth it.

Because of his continued personal attacks on other members and his refusal to stop such attacks it's been decided by the admins and mods to ban this member (DoneWithUnfairIsaac).
