When we first came to the US, I was on a TN work visa and my wife was on TD dependent visa. That allowed her to be here but didn't allow her to work. So no SSN. But she had an ITIN and opened a couple of credit cards with it, and became an AU on all my cards with that ITIN listed on her account.
Well now happily she has a work visa of her own and so now she has an SSN. So we called all the issuers and updated her SSN.
I suspect that they are not set up for this since several months later there's still nothing showing on any of her reports. Only two cards show up out of what should be about seven. Both are cards I added her to AFTER she got the SSN, so never had the ITIN.
In fact, the Costco visa is reporting to my bureau but not to hers, and she's the primary while I'm only the AU!
At least not showing up when we view her report at credit karma. I'm wondering if it's karma that choked or maybe she has a split file.
I suspect that somewhere these systems don't expect your SSN/ITIN to change and are just broken.
Any idea how to fix this or anybody been through it before?
Hi. Wondering how you resolved this case.
DW and i just recently updated our ITINs with recently issued SSN and just trusting that the transition goes smoothly. A feedback will be much appreciated.

Am I understanding this correctly when you pull a credit report for her with the updated SSN and the current address you do not get any trade lines ( credit account(s) showing) what error message is it giving? Secondly if you pull a credit report with the old ITIN number and the correct address do you get the trade lines reporting if so what is the date reported on those trade lines?
