Use of PSECU BT checks?

I got some of the 2.9% BT checks from PSECU today.

The checks say on them "Do Not Use For Electronic Payments", and the accompanying instructions say that if the checks are processed electronically, they may post at the usual cash advance rate (9.9% instead of 2.9%).

Does anyone have experience with this, and is it a problem?

I'm assuming it relates to converting a check to a one-time ACH transaction.

How would a person know whether this is going to be a problem?

Re: Use of PSECU BT checks?

With electronic payments, you dont present the actual paper document, but rather use the routing and account number on the check.

Thus, they dont have an endorsed acceptance of the check.  For some reason, that appears to be of concern to them.

Just dont cash the check by electronic transmission of their routing an account number.
