Using creditor letters to get free reports

I need to pull my credit reports.  I haven't used annualcreditreport.com in over a year, but I have gotten a couple credit card letters from getting less than optimum interest rates or denials that say I am now entitled to see my report free. I think I can get all 3 free using those letters.  Should I do that and save annualcreditreport.com for a couple months or does it not work that way?

Re: Using creditor letters to get free scores

Credit report access due to AA is independent of the free annual reports.

Re: Using creditor letters to get free scores

Scores and reports are two entirely different things.  You can certainy get reports due to AA directly from the CRA's but scores are not part of that.

If you want to retain your annual pulls, yes.

Note that you don't get scores from either route you are proposing. I get free reports due to AA all the time!
