Utility bills

I thought utility companies reported to FICO but I never see them on my report. Why not?

No utility companies will not report  unless  you default or no longer pay the bill then it will be handed over to a collection agency to collect the money  or attempt to try to collect the money that will be the only way they will show up on your credit report.  Nobody wants that.

Re: Utility bills

Wasn't there a rumor that Fico 9 would report certain utility accounts? I could be wrong or misread so don't quote me here.
Cap 1 QS1 - $3300, Kemba CU - $500, Chase Freedom - $500, Sears MC - $751, Sears - $2000, Hot Topic - $1230, Grismer - $1200, Target - $1800, Walmart - $200, Home Depot - $500, Discover IT Chrome - $7000, Chase Sapphire Preferred - $5000

There's a push to get non-traditional lines like utility and rent payments and similar on the bureaus data sets for non-traditional scoring purposes.  Don't think it had to do anything with FICO 9 unless that has more non-traditional score capability to compete with Vantage.

There was one user that had I believe it was an electric bill that was being reported every month, wasn't a familar utility company name though but in theory this will become more and more common over time.
