Hi,
As has been written a million times, perfect utilization is 1-10%.
But this popped up a question for me: what if the utilization on the card is above 0 but below 1%? Let's say just a few dollars on a few thousand dollar CL.
Would using at least 1.00% of the CL be the best idea, or does 1% just mean 'more than 0.00%' or 'at least 0.5%'?
Why I'm asking is: I've been advised just to connect a monthly subcription (eg netflix) to the card, but that's less than 1% of the cl. It would be easy to control the util if I can just leave the physical card untouched.
Thanks
I'm certain others will provide info on this as well. But, from my understanding 1% means anything above 0.00% - if I recall reading correctly on the forums this has been discussed time and time again percentages round up to the next whole number meaning 0.01% would still show 1% utilization. Granted I may be wrong but this is how I've read it over and over on the forum here.
There are various threads here that discuss rounding, and I think the conclusion is that utilization is rounded up, at least when less than 0.5%.
Thanks
didn't find anything because I didn't search for the keyword rounding
