Vantage Score v4 weirdness, 150 point FAKO gain

I know this does not matter aside from perhaps SyncB but found it to be a prelude to what is coming as my reports clean up.  I just updated my SyncB Amazon credit score and noted that it went from 590 in August to 745 as of today.  10 days ago, I requested EE successfully on two big CA's and a couple CO's on TU and that seems to have pleased the v4 model.   I still have one small medical CA and 6 CO'c totalling 30k on my TU reports but all are nearing fall off dates.

This may have had something to do with finally getting some CLI love on Amazon and my Ebay MC cards.

That's awesome! I have no idea what my V4 scores are, is Synchrony the only place to get it?

My V3 scores shot up almost 50 points in the last week, from paying down some of my high utilization Smiley Happy

Synchrony is the only VS4 source that I've seen thus far, although I'm sure there are others out there.  I like that a perfect VS4 score is attainable, where with VS3 I'm not sure anyone has reported over an 840 or so.

As far as I know it is just SyncB.  I wonder what the algorithm is that allows my V4 score to be 102 points higher than V3.  Maybe it is that balances are coming down due to CA's and CO's falling off?  Does it have a memory like FICO 10 will?  It's crazy.  Not that it matters of course.

When I saw it, I thought I was in my DW's account and had to double check.  In the not too distant future, I will be seeing REAL scores like that.  Coming from the very low 400's, I'll take any sign I can get though.

Yes, V4 uses trended data like FICO 10T will (note that FICO 10 - without the "T" - will not use trended data). So if balances are trending downward over the last few months/years, your scores could be much higher than V3, and vice versa.

Ya tell me about it, I recently paid down my utilization by 40% (like $9,000 in credit card payments) and my EQ FICO8 did not go up even a single point. Over the last few weeks I've just been getting a bunch of alerts like these Smiley Sad

Well isn't that interesting?  That would then mean that rebuilders, whether nearing the end of their reporting period or those paying off CA's for instance will see large FICO 10T score increases.  Sometime in the future, when (or if) that product becomes used by lenders it could be something that works well for those with their steadily decreasing balances of CA's and CO's.
