Verizon Wireless PFD

I'm down to two major baddies.

One of them is Verizon Wireless. Now I read through every post on the subject, but have any of you had any luck with a PFD? If so, how did you do it? How old?

I am in the same boat with Verizon ... GRRR... My 2 huge baddies ... Verizon and Sprint. bump for responses :-)

Verizon has a history of losing original paperwork once they charge off. (they have so many customers).  Dispute the amount owed or a date or something else that might be wrong with Verizon.  I just recently did this and the CRA's deleted because Verizon could not validate  my debt.  Once the original creditor deletes, I believe the CA has to follow suit and delete as well.

Here's more info:

Verizon Wireless (VZW) reports only and the CA collection on their behalf is Progressive Management Services (PMS).

I DV PMS after I get the dunning letter and they can't verify and state that in their reply.

I call VZW to confirm the balance and they send every single invoice I ever received. We agree on the balance.

I call VZW back and offer a PFD. They said no, that I had to call PMS. I said PMS cannot collect because they can't verify. VZW said you can't pay us. You have to pay them. VZW still owns the debt.

Any thoughts?

BTW, sent 2 different PFD to VZW to 2 diff addresses but no response.

i've sent out letters also but no response so i faxed them my letter now waiting for thier response

Is that fax number for Verizon wireless or for Verizon billing?

I, too, had the final 5 bills of a Verizon landline account sent to me to verify that I had the account and how much was owed. What isn't stipulated is the last check I paid to Verizon in the billing. I have a phone number of a woman to call, who I believe is in the California's President's Office. I guess I'll have to massage her over the phone to get a PFD...

But I'll need to fax the billing department to get records of the final check that I sent...

I'm not sure of the previously posted number, but I have faxed in the past but don't recall the number. I'll check the fax logs tomorow.
