WHUT? 81 point drop?

My score earlier this month was 712 -- not great, but... Today, I was informed it dropped 81 points - with no reason stated. The only recent activity I know of was that the CC I use had posted a statement. I've not been late on my CC payments (which I always pay off in full), mortgage, utilities or otherwise...

Can I expect these wild fluctuations going forward?

What can I do to regain my 81 points?

How do I find out why it dropped? Seems unfair to not be given a reason -- like somone's mad at you but won't tell you why! :-/

We need more information to assess your situation.  If the only thing that changed was your credit card reporting a balance than we need to know what your available credit is, what are your card balances?

The balance is 57% of my available credit. Never carried a balance before and won't be this time around, either. Does that help?

Who informed you your score took a 81 point hit?  Are these FICO scores? 81 points is something akin to  2 judgements suddenly showing up.

Yeah, I thought 81 points to be harsh...

It came from: scorewatch@myfico.com and poking around the reports, tabs and so forth, I couldn't find any explanation as to why...

scorewatch tells you the reason(s) your EQ score has incresaed or decreased.

Since when was 712 not great? I was looking forward to 700's now you just shot me down.
