WalletFlo says I will be 4/24 in may but not correct based on my calculations
Kohls 4/12/19
Quicksilver 4/6/19
Best Buy 4/11/19
Credit one 4/17/19
target 9/1/19
Capital one platinum 9/19/19
Walmart store card 9/12/19
Discover 11/11/19
nfcu cash rewards 12/17/19
nfcu platinum 03/17/20
based on that I should not be clear until September anyone else ever see this I'm thinking maybe WalletFlo isn't counting the store cards?
No clue but just know thyself. If you know you opened 10 cards regardless of kind , base it off that before applying with Chase. That way you can be responsible for approval or denial not some app
Not sure the need for an app for this? It's pretty clear how many cards one opens in a 24 month time period.
Oh I don't use it for that I use it just to keep track of cards and what the best spending is for each category lol I don't even really use it often, I frankly don't care about chase cards but was posting it as a warning it can be incorrect
I thought it had been well established that Chase doesn't include store cards in its 24 month count. (Retail cards that can be used outside of the store are counted.)
Oh I was not aware of that I guess then technically if that's true I will be 4/24 4/17/21 thanks for the info

@Anonymous - Unfortunately, that's not the case. Not sure where you may have come across such information, do you have a link/source @hdporter? While some outliers may exist, sites such as FT, DoC, TPG, Reddit, etc., have previously confirmed they are included in the count.
Hence, the 5/24 restriction does include any revolving and/or charge accounts which includes retail CCs of any kind as well as PLOCs, CLOCs, ODLOCs, etc. Their restriction tends to typically exclude installment loans, mortgages, student loans, etc.
Some credit blogs say closed loop cards don't count and some say they do who knows
It seems to be a YMMV point because I have seen reports on both sides. It's possible that they have some flexibility there if the profile is otherwise sufficient but considering that they often double pull, it's best to count all revolving lines of credit when calculating 5/24.

As I mentioned upthread, there can be outliers. It's definitely profile driven and we really don't know that some of the information posted is verifiable for some of the bloggers. That said, the majority of credit/rewards blogs + even on MF, have pointed toward everything counting, except for installment-type loans. We have seen some evidence of folks bypassing 5/24 (even for Chase biz CCs) in the absence of a pre-approved offer (which typically bypasses the restriction), but it isn't that common. Now, if someone is trying to avoid unnecessary HPs, why go there if they know they won't pass the 5/24 sniff test?
