It's a Vantage 3.0 Score from TU. Same thing as Capital One and CreditKarma
I think the Slate card has always offered a score. I have CSP and Freedom and just checked the site and could not find it anywhere. Where did you go to find it? My TU Vantage 3.0 jumped 8 points today on CreditKarma. Even though I don't plan to app for any more credit cards this topic still dominates my free time.
The service as it exists is just lead generation for Chase seemingly. And now getting more consumer data from Transunion into their system on both current and potential customers.
I'm avoiding it like the plague.

Now if Chase would offer a real score on all their cards.. esp freedom
Discover is using it for lead gen, but at least its a real score... *and* (Can't prove this but have a theroy and a little bit of ancedotal evidence)... sometimes when they would normally do a double pull, if you subscribe to scorecard, they will do one HP instead of two....

That's interesting. I haven't been able to get back into that Discover site, it's a partnership with EX and I think the fact I have used EX's service in the past might be breaking it actually... according to a CSR in their FICO score product side, I'm not alone on this and all they could do is take down my name and email and add it to a list. I'm not worried because I think the free EX service actually does everything the Discover one does and more (seriously I got an inquiry credit alert before the banker got back into the room from my CSR application), and Discover is likely a marketing front end as you suggest.

It is a way for Chase to work around the "Opt-Out" program and get more solid information before making offers.
