Wells Fargo credit fraud

Omg...Just got a text alert of a purchase at amazon prime for $128.41 on my wells Fargo cc called customer service and was informed I will not be responsible for charges and they will close the account and issue a new account number. Geez my account was compermize on Christmas Eve 😳

Sorry you had to deal with this, I had it twice on WF.

Just glad you caught it. Unfortunately this time of year is when it is the worst.

Know the feeling, just had check fraud on my wf checking account in the amount of $900, had the money back in my account within a week. WF has s had its problems, but I have had only positive experiences with their customer service, at least over tge phone, some of there tellers are just inexperienced.

Sorry to hear of your experience. Yes the customer service rep was really helpful. Rep told me this time of the year it happens I'm just glad I am not responsible for the charge.

Check your amazon account. If you previously purchased amazon Prime they are notorious for hitting you with the renewal fee without any notice. Based on the dollar amount it sounds like the AF for prime.

Happened to me and i thought it was fraud then realized it was the renewal and cancelled my prime.

@Nomad3 I don't have a amazon prime and my WF cc is not linked to my amazon cc. I checked my amazon cc and there was no activity on the account. So I don't how how the amount was charged to my WF cc.
