What a difference a HIGH FICO makes....

.....I have just bought a new car and financed it via Toyota for a ridiculously low APR.  I called them up to change the due date, and they were very, very friendly and helpful.  I changed the date to a few days later (better for me) and said that I wanted to make absolutely sure they didn't think I was paying late.  So she said "I don't blame you - with this rate you must have a high credit score and you don't wan't to mess it up"!!

I was being treated very well, and I am sure that in part it was because they knew I had a high score  Smiley Happy

Midnight voice, do you mind sharing the interest rate you received and what are your scores.

Standard Toyota Corolla incentive, requires a FICO above 730.  They checked my EQ, I know it was in the 780's, but the report they pulled said 797 (auto-enhanced FICO??)

MV..........know what? I think you can do better with Toyota. Negotiate further.

My RAV lease is up in May - and I am getting an '08 RX-350 on May 26. You can get a lower rate with Toyota. These folks are great to work with.

There are different (and better) options on other vehicles - some have 0% for shorter loans.  And we did go through other options as well.  Throw in a very good price for the car (lower than some used Corollas) and a generous trade in on my '96 and battered car, and I was very happy
