What are PLUS scores

Yesterday I went to the Experian Site to obtain my credit report along with the credit score, I was under the impression that I will be gettin my FICO scores.  When I paid $4.95 to get the scores, I got a PLUS score of 720.  How does this relate to the FICO score that we get on this site(myfico.com).  I have signed up for the yearly program to monitor my score and obtain a score from this site.  Currently this site(Myfico), the score is 690 and yesterday as I mentioned I got a score of 720 from Experian site? Can any one help me understand what is the logic of converting a PLUS score to FICO score and where can I see the true FICO score from all three agencies.

Tks,

KJ.

Re: What are PLUS scores

There's no relationship between PLUS and FICO scores. Your PLUS can go up and FICO down, and vice versa for the same event. My scores have been as close at about 10 or so points and as far as 120 or so points when pulled on the same day for the same CRA. My favorite example is when my last CA was removed, my EX FICO jumped 58 points. My EX PLUS FAKO score dropped 8. Go figure.

Sadly, EX no longer allows consumers to access their FICO score on their own. You can still get it from your lender if you request it and if they used it for consideration.

Re: What are PLUS scores

The worst thing about this is your lender has no obligation to share the score with you.  It is totally up to them if the feel comfortable doing this.  For some reason my company has an agreement with Experian that we will not disclose customers FICO scores to the customer.  Isn't that ridiculous!!!  You get an inquiry and you still can't see your score.

Re: What are PLUS scores

Its a useless and hardly ever used score provided by Experian and a model developed by the CRAs which never succeeded or was adopted. You wasted your money and in the future just ignore it, it means nothing.
