What do you recommend

So I requested information regarding my account due to a validity question from a EO at a credit card company. They mailed me my information but also included information for someone else with their name, application ID and status, their state of residence and their social security name. It appears it was a internal screenshot. I called to let the EO know right away as I would be livid if this happened to me - which who knows if it has. The company didn't seem to care. They did not even ask for the information of the person sent in error so they could reach out to them to let them know their SSN had been exposed in error.

This is a bit concerning to me. Any experience with this and if there is a particular department that should be made aware of this? I would hope of this happened to my information the company that holds my information secure would at least think about telling me my data has been breached

Re: What do you recommend

This is a bank that did this? I think it's a pretty serious breach of their fiduciary duties, and would probably lead to a fine from the SEC or whoever provides oversight. I'd reach out again.

Maybe notify the CFPB?

Re: What do you recommend

My complaint would be of their lack of any effort to correct the matter or provide notice to the effected consumer.

I would begin with the CFPB.
