Okay, so really quick summary. I had 5 missed payments while active duty because I was in intensive training for over 18 months and was recieving statements months after they were sent. So here's what happened. I asked Capital One (several times) to remove those late payments from my credit report. After 6 months of calling, chatting, and mailing, they finally admitted (in writing) that all 5 payments would be updated and removed from my credit report. I have filed a few disputes with each credit bureau through this process hoping they would communicate with Capital One and they would recieve the updated information faster than 90 days. SO after waiting 90 days my credit reports are the same. I called Experian last week and they told me Capital One is still reporting the late payments. What are my options now? I have Capital One telling me I don't have late payments on the account and that the credit bureaus must remove them ALL WHILE the credit bureaus are telling me to contact Capital One to have them report the updated information. I'm believing Experian just because of Capital One's reputation. Well, I've seemed to have bottomed out and am just spinning wheels right now. Any suggestions (lawsuit being last) on what I could do to solve this problem?
I have already opened disputes including the written proof from Capital One and they still don't remove the lates.

Ok then its time to file a CFPB complaint, I would file it on Cap-1. http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/
