Re: What is LVNV?

LVNV is a junk debt buyer.  They love to reek havoc on people's credit reports and never comply with DV's.  Basically they are a mob organization trying to extort money from you.  If you have them on your CR, you should start the process now to get rid them, they are like **bleep** roaches. Re: What is LVNV?

How are they able to do this? Their has to be someone to stop CA's that are like this! I mean the FTC or whoever, needs to incorporate tougher guidelines and laws and hire people to specialize in finding CA's that run their business in such way! Geesh!

We must unite to conquer these CA's:

Harvard Collections
Asset Management/Acceptance
Portfolio
Midland
Calvary

....and i'm sure their are many more!

Re: What is LVNV?

By comply do you mean they respond with little information, or do they just not respond?

What is your suggestion to dealing with them? PFD?
I would love to hear some insite on how to approach these types of companies.

Re: What is LVNV?

I just delt with them. They had reported a collection account for $351. After calling them 23 times over a week they finally found the account. Every time I called they told me "your not in our system" They requested I fax them a copy of my reports showing where they are listed. I did this 20 times. Finaly I got a rep that did a partial account number search. She stated it was an MCI account. I never ever had MCI! So she deleted it and faxed me a letter that is was deleted and did not belong to me.

I hope this helps. I really did call 23 times..
