What is the FICO score exactly?

Hello,

My FICO score is 680 so is that my actual credit score?  If not, how can I find out what it is - TransUnion, Equifax, etc?

Also, would each credit bureau give me a different score?

Last question, what is considered a good and/or bad credit score?

Thank you for your help!

Re: What is the FICO score exactly?

SMB, you have three FICO scores. This is the score that matters. All other scores don't mean a hill of beans, as zero to very few lenders use them. You will more than likely have a different FICO score from all three of the CRAs, because they each employ a slightly different scoring formula. You can't get the EX FICO score anywhere, except a lender these days.

What's good? Depends on what you are trying to do with your scores. I like to see all of mine in the mid to upper 700s, but members can get most of what they want in the high 600s to low 700s.
