What is this CA up to?

Over two weeks ago I sent a Certified DV letter to a CA for a medical collection they have on my CR. I received the green card back last week. They haven't validated the debt and up to now I haven't heard from them. Today I get a call from the CA and they left a voicemail saying it was ugent that I contact them. This is the first time I have done a DV. What is this CA up to? Does anyone know? I don't think I should talk to them on the phone. Not sure what to do.

im not an expert on this, but i would never talk to them over the phone

We are going thru the same thing...they are in violation of the FDCPA

I've mailed the 2nd DV CMRRR and I'm waiting for the green card to come back.  I've saved the messages on our answering machine also. Unfortunately DH threw away the messages he received at work   But he didn't know any better.

This makes me so mad I just pulled my TC report and this CA did two hard pulls on my TU today! Are they allowed to do this and why would they pull twice in one day. Now I have two more inquiries on my TU because of this. Also, this CA reported this account again! I can't believe this. I may have been better off to leave this alone.

I pulled MyFico TU  tonight also and despite what this CA is doing my TU score went up to 681. I am sending a dispute letter to TU and disputing these two hard pulls.

Well this is interesting. I just called Trans Union about these two hard pulls from the collection agency that showed up on myfico TU report yesterday and they said there has been no hard pulls at all this month on my TU report. Now I am confused. I ask the represenative at Trans Union if CA were allowed to do hard pulls and he said they were.
