Why are you paying for this stuff? Get the myTransUnion app for TransUnion management and sign up on myEquifax to manage Equifax. The only one that’s a hassle for me is Experian’s form but it’s not worth paying $10 a month for their monitoring to get access to their lock and unlock to me.

TU app works perfectly for me. But myEquifax website is spotty, but if it doesn’t work the one 800-number always does.

I dont trust Equifax for anything but tell me sbout the app? Is it good, can you dispute stuff ? I need to dispute an address on my report but i fear their ineptitude more than a wrong addressSmiley Wink

Equifax doesn’t use an app, they have the MyEquifax login. You definitely want to set that up anyway because if someone wants to steal you identity and you haven’t set up MyEquifax, they can set it up and remove your freeze without your PIN. Because Equifax...

 

They do have the free Lock & Alert app but that’s a lock, not a freeze, and people have found themselves locked out of their file for months when using it...

AJC, Saeren is spot on. The TU app is great, but EQ, no app. You can access the website and freeze and unfreeze rather easily. Whenever that’s on the fritz, the one 800 number and your pin lock and unlock flawlessly.

EX is the only one I have locked instead of frozen because I haven’t went through the trouble yet and since I have credit works I’ve got the button.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but it's the exact same thing.. Does nobody else have an issue with TU freeze/unfreeze? I literally am forced to call every time I need it lifted or re-frozen. I have my PIN, have my TU account and have the app on my phone..Whenever I try to login via app or online it says, "Freeze Status Unknown" with some language about it being temporary. Well, its been at least a year now that I cant freeze or thaw without making a call to TU during business hours because I need a "special" team.

I cant be the only one....right?
