What score to use?

When applying for new cards, what score should I be looking at? Overall FICO? Or the FICO Bankcard Score 9 (or the older versions of the bankcard scores?)

Re: What score to use?

Depends on the lender. Some use FICO 8, some use one of the bankcard versions, some use FICO 9.

Either search the 'approvals' section of forums for a specific lender to determine which score was used for most approvals or post the question about a specific lender and folks will chime in.

Or give the lender with which you're considering applying for a product a call and ask them which scoring model they use.
