What specific EQ report do Credit Unions use for ID verification?

Applied for membership for a CU that does a soft on EQ for membership. Got "application requires further review", applied for their CC following day and they did a HP which they confirmed they recieved. CU rep said that they couldn't verify identity with EQ and there may be a block but they can't use the report for the credit card for identity. Spoke with EQ and they said there are no blocks. Not sure where to go from here.

Any ideas what the specific report is called they use to verify identity? Also, what other information they pull on this report? Score has dropped since the CC app due to new accounts so want to know if that will impact my CC app if they do a soft pull?

Appreciate any help.

Pull your report from annualcreditreport.com. If you cant. Then you probably have a split file which is famous with EQ. Then the calls start to send in docs to EQ to fix it. Good Luck! Been there done that.

While you're at it get a copy of your Lexis Nexis consumer report and carefully check it for errors, particularly for conflicting information.  The CRAs generally treat them as a Source of Truth so the impact of an error (I can confirm that having an additional SSN placed on one's report is a particularly fun one) can be amplified.

Checked that and everything looks good but thanks for the help.

Lexis looks fine, I did use a different phone number listed but the CU said that would not be the phone number. I did previously have a fraud alert placed that I removed 4 months ago but the CU is being very coy about the reason they can't verify identity.
