When do inquiries fall off?

I know it is two years, but for example, if an inquiry was done on 4/24/2006, would it fall off 3/24/2008 or 4/24/2008? I have heard on here they only look for the past year. So it looks like they are not counted anymore.

If something was put on 03/26/06 it would fall off 04/26/08

Wouldn't that be 26months? Granted I see on my initial post I was saying fall off in 06, I meant 08. But you were saying something put on in March would fall off in April of 2 years later?
