To be honest with you, yes.
 
I have seen that happen on reports.  If you ask for validation or dispute it or anything...sometimes it can be "re-entered" and it will stay on for longer.

When was the charge-off in 2000? A CA can't legally re-enter an obselete collection, that is a collection that is 7 years past the DOFD (charge-off date), the FCRA is suppose to prevent this. You might be or might not be out from under your state's SOL but you should always know this. Check the links below.
